Browser storage vs account

Without an account With an account
  • Projects stay in that browser’s local storage. Most browsers allow about 5 MB for the site, shared by every project.
  • A terrain-heavy project fills that quota sooner.
  • Storage belongs to one browser, one profile, and one computer. There is no sync and no backup.
  • Clearing browsing data or site data erases it. A private window drops it when the window closes. Safari may purge it after about 7 days without a visit.
  • Projects are stored on the server and open from any browser. A save from another tab is detected, and the older tab can reload the server copy or overwrite it.
  • Find ASR searches FCC antenna structure registrations by registration number or by coordinate radius.
  • Signup assigns the paid plan, which can save a private equipment catalog on the server. A plan set to free cannot. Only an admin account can change the shared catalog.
  • Projects still stored in the browser can be imported after sign-in. The Account menu and the File menu both run that import, and a prompt offers it when the browser already has projects.

Signup does not charge, and signup creates no order. The password length is at least 10 characters, and the password must differ from the email. A confirmation message is sent to the address on the form. The link expires in 24 hours and works once. Sign-in stays closed until that link is opened.
